The Equality Hub focus on disability policy, ethnic disparities, gender equality, LGBT rights and the overall framework of equality legislation for the UK.
Priorities
The Equality Hub is central to the government’s commitment to levelling up opportunities, and ensuring fairness for all.
Our top overall priority is improving the quality of evidence and data about disparities and the types of barriers different people face – this includes statutory protected characteristics but also other aspects of inequality, including socio-economic and geographic inequality.
Who we are
The Equality Hub is part of the Cabinet Office and includes:
- Disability Unit
- Government Equalities Office (gender, LGBT and overall equality framework)
- Race Disparity Unit
- Social Mobility Commission
